The creation of KayBea's Craft Studio

I have always been a creative person (at least that is what my family and friends always tell me) so when I was first introduced to scrapbooking, I fell in love instantly!! I started scrapbooking officially back in 2004.  Unofficially, I started in 2001. I didn't even know there was a formal name for what I was doing.  All I know is that I wanted to make a picture book for my best friend.  In the book, I wanted to include pictures of us, pieces of memorabilia from experiences throughout our friendship, and stickers.   I simply didn't want to stick pictures on a page.  I wanted to decorate the pictures and the pages to really tell a story. So my first scrapbook was created.

In 2004, I had my son and I took a lot of pictures.  A really dear friend, Lillian, who has been crafting for years convinced me to start scrapbooking again.  She was really into it and she taught me all types of techniques and tricks.  Ten years later, I'm still going strong.

Most people who scrapbook tend to do other crafts.  I'm no different. There are so many different avenues in scrapbooking to pursue.  One of my favorite  is card marking.  Who doesn't enjoy opening a gift or their mailbox to see a handmade card inside.  Making cards are so quick, easy and inexpensive. Those of three of my favorite words.

KayBea's Craft Studio was created in order to brand my crafts.  Most of my friends call me by the initials "KB" so I just decided to spell out the Kay and the Bea. I decided to go with Craft Studio because now I do much more than scrapbooking and card making. I dabble in all types of crafting.
